Australia grants asylum to 5 members of the Iranian women’s soccer team

Australia has granted asylum to five members of the Iranian women’s soccer team who were in the country for a tournament when the Iran war began. The team was labeled as “traitors” for declining to sing Iran’s national anthem before a match. NBC News’ Camila Bernal explains that this is not the first time athletes have sought refuge abroad due to conflict.
